Darby is a cheerful duckling who loves playing with beanbags and singing tunes in the Dorian mode. One sunny day, she meets Lonnie, a lively lizard with a passion for music. To their delight, they discover they both love making melodies. Together, they become fast friends, tapping rhythm sticks and singing a joyful song in Lydian, their laughter dancing through the air.

I make washable beanbags for purchase. The durable beanbags are circular, which fits perfectly in your hands. Each beanbag is $4.59 plus shipping and handling. If you are interested in purchasing beanbags, fill out the Contact Me section below.
Note: Darby uses a square beanbag instead of a circle because it is easier to pick up with her wing.
I would recommend purchasing rhythm sticks from a music company. I like Basic Beat 12-inch rhythm sticks from West Music https://www.westmusic.com/
The Darby books are designed to inspire musical play with young children. Don't worry if you don't have special equipment - creativity is part of the fun!
If you don't have beanbags or rhythm sticks, you can make your own.
Beanbags - fill a sock with uncooked rice and tie it tightly.
Rhythm Sticks - substitute with unsharpened pencils or wooden spoons.
